Let's see... Last week: I survived my CS midterm. And now, the executive summary of the past few days:

Thursday was quite the long day. After being up until midnight the day before handling demos for lab, I woke up and went back to lab for, well, yet more demos. But at least they all got done, and I'm even almost done grading all the reports (the students will be so happy, at least until they see the grades, or this log entry for that matter). In the evening, I supervised the Memory of Water performance at Krannert. The synopsis goes along these lines (stolen from the Krannert website):

In a snowbound English coastal village, three sisters arrive to complete arrangements for their mother's funeral. What follows is a hilarious and poignant examination of mourning, memory, and familial roles in the contemporary world, leading the characters to discover that memory is more a creation of emotion and belief than an accurate recollection of facts.

Those following along might realize that the subject matter wasn't a great choice for my evening. But it was still a good performance, if a bit longer than normal.

Friday... well, Friday I slept. A lot. Which was good, since Saturday was busy again. Football game in the afternoon, which was great until we lost. At least ESPN was mocking Ohio State, the #2 team at the time (#1 BCS), for being dragged into overtime by unranked Illinois. Afterwards I usher supervised for the November Playhouse Dance show. Some good pieces, some okay pieces. Followed by a trip to the Baker's Square for dessert. And then I started feeling a cold coming on, which kinda oblitterated any potential productivity the next day.
