So maybe my attempts to keep this up to date aren't working out as well as I hoped :)
A lot has happened in the past week, and yet the status quo has been maintained. Good and bad, I guess ;-)
First, the geeky part. The first beta of the next MS Office release should arrive tomorrow. You all now know what software I will be busy installing tomorrow evening. This may temporarily delay updated calendaring feeds from me (but hopefully not).
Next, the good news. My mom called me over the weekend, to ask some computer question or other. Now, trying to explain computer stuff to my mom over the phone isn't always easy, but at least it was a coherent phone conversation. My sister reported a similar occurance, so we're both a bit happier.
Homework is going well, if albeit a bit slowly. The ECE412 midterm will be graded eventually, but a cursory examination of the answer key showed that I got at least a few things right. I didn't really feel like going through all of it, nor do I remember all of my answers, so I'll have to wait and see how I did.
As for the weekend, well, I didn't get much work done. Originally I was going to see the football game with Brian and another one of his friends, but well, complicating matters arose. So we did some horse-trading, and I ended up with two tickets and tailgating passes in return for my original ticket. I ended up going with another friend. Later we got dinner and saw the movie Red Dragon. The plot seemed a bit similar to that of The Silence of the Lambs, but overall very good. And not as scary as my roommate led me to believe ;-) And talking afterwards, I found that I wasn't the only one watching Square One TV after school. Yay MathNet! (think Dragnet meets math and science)
Looking forward for this week, I have plenty of homework, trivia night, a halloween party, a potluck, two evening shifts, and whatever else pops up. Busy, busy :)
